SPORTS THERAPIST

Tia graduated from The University of Hertfordshire with a first-class BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree in 2020. She was awarded an additional award for outstanding voluntary contribution to university sports, research, and co-curricular activities.

During her degree, Tia carried out a placement year in which she spent time observing professionals in a private sports therapy clinic and was part of over 1000 appointments. In addition to her role in Body Fix, Tia is also in her 3rd season of being the First Team Sports Therapist for the Cambridge City Football Club mens team.

She further developed her passion for Sports Therapy whilst working in the University of Hertfordshire’s Sports Therapy clinic. In addition to her experience within a clinical setting, she has gained experience within a team environment whilst spending time at Cambridge Rugby Club as an intern as well as working with a range of sports including Basketball, Football, Netball and Hockey.

Tia has also provided soft tissue treatment for a number of sporting teams including the Hertfordshire Mavericks Netball Team and Cambridge United Football Club First Team as well as providing post-race treatments at events such as the London Marathon and local 5Km and 10Km races.

Tia has a strong passion for horse riding and has done so since a very young age. In previous years she has competed in show jumping, dressage and cross-country with her current interest lying in show jumping.

Tia also has a strong interest in health and fitness and has recently found a love for strength and conditioning.
